Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a beautiful blouse pattern inspired by Shein.
To create the pattern, I removed the bust dart at the hem. To do this, I drew a straight line (right angle) from the bust to the hem, extending it to the waist. My bust dart is 2 cm, so I removed 2 cm at the hem.
Cut out the dart measurement, trace the bust dart, or place a piece of paper over it.
I used the waist dart as ease. From the waistline downward, mark the hip height, then the hip width divided by 4 plus 1 cm of ease. The waist already has the bust width, which provides a good amount of ease.
After making these adjustments, I moved 1 cm in from the shoulder and lowered the neckline by 10 cm. For the armhole, I moved 1.5 cm out and 1.5 cm down, connecting to the waist.
The pattern will look like this. At the end of the explanation, I added an extra 1 cm of ease at the waist.
For the back pattern, I did the same thing: drew a line from the bust to the waist.
Marked the hip height and the hip width divided by 4 plus 1 cm.
I used the waist dart as ease.
For the back neckline, I moved in 1 cm and redrew it. For the armhole, I went down 1.5 cm and out 1.5 cm, connecting to the waist.
The pattern will look like this.
As mentioned, I added an extra 1 cm of ease to the front and back patterns. I raised the hip by 1 cm and adjusted the hem.
To make the sleeve, I drew a line down the center.
I cut this line and opened it by 10 cm, which is optional; you can open more if you prefer a lot of ruffle.
Then I adjusted it.
For the ruffled collar, I marked 7 cm on the front neckline and added it to the back neckline, then I drew a rectangle with this measurement plus 75% of it, or you can double it with a height of 2.5 cm.
I hope this tip helps, and see you in the next post!
