Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a step-by-step guide for creating a beautiful and super cute short blouse inspired by Shein.
To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 13 cm and drew the design. From the waistline up, I marked 8 cm, and from the waistline down, 6 cm. From the bust dart apex, I made a 2 cm adjustment on the neckline and a 1.5 cm adjustment to avoid excess fabric. I didn’t note these adjustments but they are the ones I used. From the bust dart apex, I made a 1 cm adjustment on each side of the height of the cutout. At the hem, I raised 1 cm and corrected it to avoid puckering.
I cut the pattern, made the adjustments, and closed the dart. I trimmed the lower part of the cutout and closed it, eliminating the dart.
For the back pattern, I lowered 1.5 cm below the armhole line, eliminated the dart on the side, marked 6 cm below the waist, and raised 1 cm to correct and avoid puckering. At the center back, I raised 1.5 cm for the back adjustment.
I closed the adjustment, and the pattern is ready.
This adjustment helps to remove wrinkles from the back, making the pattern more fitted in this area.
I tested the pattern in 3D.
