Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a simple strappy dress inspired by Shein.
To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 14 cm and sketched the design. I added 0.5 cm of ease at the armhole, 1.5 cm at the waist, 1.5 cm at the hips, and 8 cm at the hem, leaving the dart as ease. I raised the hem by 2 cm to avoid any pointed edges.
I made an adjustment to the armhole, which was 1.5 cm for this size.
I transferred the adjustment to the bust dart and removed it from the overlapping position.
For the back pattern, I lowered the neckline by 23 cm and drew the design. I added 0.5 cm of ease at the armhole, 1.5 cm at the waist, 1.5 cm at the hips, and 8 cm at the hem, raising it by 2 cm to refine the shape.
Both the front and back patterns were cut out.
After testing the pattern, I made the dress slightly longer than the inspiration model.
I hope this tip was helpful! See you in the next post.
