Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is for a beautiful dress inspired by Shein.
To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 15 cm, sketched the design, and made adjustments of 2 cm and 1.5 cm. At the waist, I raised it by 4 cm and added 15 cm at the waistline for the front gathering. I marked the desired length and included the ruffle height, which can range from 18 to 25 cm, depending on your preference.
I cut out the patterns, closed the adjustments and the dart, and refined everything. I joined the waistband by closing the dart and making adjustments.
The dart on the skirt will not be used. For the ruffle gathering, use the skirt hem measurement plus 50% of that measurement.
For the back pattern, I extended 15 cm on the side, squared it to the waist, and squared it from the waist to the skirt. As mentioned earlier, the ruffle height can range from 18 to 25 cm.
I cut the blouse part where the shirring with elastic thread will be done.
The skirt will also be gathered. The gathering for the ruffle will be the skirt hem measurement plus 50% of that measurement.
I hope this tip was helpful! See you in the next post.
