Blouse Pattern with Strap Detail

Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is for a strappy blouse with a front detail inspired by Shein.

To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 15 cm, drew a line from the apex of the dart to the middle of the shoulder, and sketched the design. I dropped the armhole by 1 cm, added 2 cm at the waist, and 1.5 cm at the hips. I raised the hem by 1 cm and adjusted it. For the detail, I added a measurement of 3 cm, but it can also be 2.5 cm. I separated the detail from the blouse and made adjustments. In my base, the dart is at the height shown in the image, but when I tested it in 3D, I repositioned it as shown. I used the waist dart as ease in the blouse.

Transferring the Dart

After transferring the dart, I removed it from the overlap position.

For the back pattern, I lowered the neckline by 9 cm and extended 6 cm to the side. I dropped the armhole by 1 cm, added 2 cm at the waist, 1.5 cm at the hips, and raised the hem by 1 cm to adjust it. I used the waist dart as ease in the blouse.

I hope this tip was helpful! See you in the next post.
