Hi everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a Shein-inspired blouse.
To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 10 cm (I forgot to note this in the image). For the strap, I set it at 2.5 cm, basing it on 1.25 cm on each side of the shoulder midpoint. I lowered the armhole by 1 cm, left the detail at 2.5 cm, and increased it by 50% to add gathers as seen in the image. The 2.5 cm drawing on the armhole is just a reference and won’t be used in the pattern. I made an adjustment in the armhole, using the detail. I raised the hem by 1 cm, made adjustments there, and also corrected the side seam.
The pattern was cut, eliminating the adjustment and without the drawn detail on the armhole.
For the back pattern, I lowered the neckline by 13 cm and the strap by 2.5 cm. I lowered the armhole by 1 cm and also made an adjustment in the back armhole, as I always need a 1.5 cm adjustment in my base tracing. I raised the hem by 1 cm for correction and also adjusted the side seam.
The back pattern had the adjustment removed, and the guide drawing was erased.
I hope this tip helps, and see you in the next post.
