Blouse Pattern with Shoulder Pleats

Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a Shein-inspired blouse.

To create the pattern, I lowered the neckline by 10 cm, took in 2 cm at the beginning of the shoulder and 1.5 cm at the end. In the armhole, I made a 1 cm adjustment and lowered it by 1.5 cm. I also made a 1 cm adjustment to the neckline. I recommend measuring the armhole and neckline adjustments on your body to ensure you apply the correct measurements to your base. I left the waist dart as ease, without marking the value, but it was 1.5 cm that I added at the waist for ease. I added 1 cm at the hip and raised it by 1 cm to smooth the hemline. Divide the new shoulder measurement into 3 parts and mark the first with a line towards the bust apex, as shown in the image below.

I opened the line and transferred the neckline and armhole adjustments to it. Then I drew another line in blue.

I closed the dart and opened it slightly to form another pleat. Adjust until both pleats are the same size.,

I closed the pleats and adjusted the shoulder.

Then, I cut out the pattern.

For the back pattern, I lowered the neckline by 2 cm and took in 2 cm at the start of the shoulder and 1.5 cm at the end, just like the front. I lowered the armhole by 1.5 cm and added 1.5 cm of ease at the waist. At the hip, I went out by 1 cm and raised it by 1 cm to smooth the hemline. To round the back hem, I lowered it by 1.5 cm in the center. Remember, the waist dart will not be sewn.

I hope this tip was helpful. See you in the next post!
