Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is about body measurements.
A measurement chart is a set of necessary measurements for the construction of base patterns. These measurements are based on averages calculated from data collected from a certain number of individuals (in the case of an industrial chart). It’s important to note that it is nearly impossible to find a single person who fits these exact measurements perfectly. However, in industrial production, standardizing these measurements is the only way to ensure consistent sizing.

These are some examples of measurements that, when taken accurately, will result in a more precise base pattern with fewer flaws.
