Hello everyone, how are you? Today’s tip is a Shein-inspired halter neck blouse.
To create the pattern, I marked about halfway down the neckline and drew a line to the armhole, marking a 3 cm adjustment on this line. I left the waist dart as ease, and extended 1.5 cm at both the waist and hip.
On the new neckline line to the bust dart point, I opened and transferred the adjustment and the bust dart to that line, then smoothed out the adjustment and dart. I raised the hem by 1 cm to avoid a pointed edge.
For the strap, I kept it 5 cm in height and 1.50 m in width. I also drafted the facing for finishing.
On the back pattern, I extended 2.5 cm to add elastic, and again, I left the waist dart as ease. Since the elastic will be applied, I didn’t add any extra ease to the side seam, but I did raise the hem by 1 cm to prevent a pointed edge.
I hope this tip helps, and see you in the next post!
